  • Okaaay?

I am just a wee bit confused, and a little tipsy.  I looked at my grades, and while not all of them are up the genetics class that I have been fighting with this quarter does have it's final grade up.  It has me listed as a 86% in the class.  Now, I got a 73 on the first test and a 92 on the second.  Each of those was worth 1/4 of my grade and the final was 1/2.  Working the math in reverse gave me a 179/200 on the final.  Wrong!  I counted when I turned in my test and was sure of 146/200 points.  The others...I guessed.  (This is the one advantage I've found for teachers who give multiple choice tests.  I guess well.)  So the class I was settling for a B in, I pulled an A.  Now the total stands at one A and a B+.  I'm fairly sure that I got an A in Entomology, and am waiting for the Herpetology grade.  That one kind of depends on how they liked my term paper.  (Sea turtle conservation...an ongoing issue.)

Tipsy because of the bottle of Tempranillo that I am drinking while waiting for my stew to finish cooking (those pesky turnips).  I worked a split shift today, and am going to do so again tomorrow.  But since I don't have to be at work until 8 am, and am taking the night off from cleaning...a drink seemed in order.

Spent the first part of the day at work...at 7 am.  Ouch.  I am *not* a morning person.  At least from that end of things.  Then I went off to wash my kids comforters so that I can put them up for the summer.  They do not need down comforters in Davis weather...really.  While I was over at the house I washed and waxed my car.  And I mean the wax where you buff it on, let it dry, and buff the stupid stuff off.  It's a once a year thing...my hands are fried after that.  I've spent the last five days cleaning at home or at work. Tonight...no more.  Just for tonight.  Promise.

Thom will be here on Friday.  Sooooo looking forward to that.  I am.  So much.  It has been 7 months since I've seen him (and he's been letting his beard grow the whole time!)  My girls are threatening to french braid his beard once he gets here.  That should be good for a few giggles.  Then I get to cut the sheep off his face.

I think I will go wander off now.  I hope everyone is doing well.
